Parish House Inn, an Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area B&B is now family friendly

The Parish House Inn has made some changes to accommodate families and people traveling together sharing a room. Please go to our website to check availability and to book online.

The first photo is room 3. There are now 2 twin beds and it can also be made into a king size bed for couples.

Room 4 is the second photo. A twin size bed has been added, which will accommodate a third person in the room. It also makes a nice daybed.
The queen size four poster bed and back of house location makes this one 0f our most popular rooms.

In the third photo, room 9 shows a king size bed and a new sofa bed, which will accommodate
a third person sharing this room. With the 2 person jacuzzi tub, it is still our most popular room for romantic escapes and wedding nights.

Eastern Michigan University Parents Stay at the Parish House Inn

Eastern Michigan University is only 1 mile from the Parish House Inn bed and breakfast. Parents helping new students move in will find a comfortable, homey and convenient place to rest after their busy day. You can check our availability and book the room of your choice tight on line. A 10% discount will be offered to parents of EMU students who book online until September 2. Just be sure to leave a message and I will adjust the rate. Ypsilanti Heritage Festival 8/20-22 is just 2 blocks from Parish House Inn

The Ypsilanti Heritage Festival is a celebration of this town, the second oldest city (Detroit is the oldest) in Michigan. There are crafts, music, children's activities, food, an encampment of re-enactors and so much more. The Parish House Inn is just 2 blocks away....so come and enjoy the celebration. Parish House Inn, the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area B&B, recommends the 13th annual Beer festival in Riverside Park

The BEER event of the season is back...The Michigan Brewers Guild presents the 13th annual Beer Festival held at Riverside Park, 515 E Cross Street, in Depot Town, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Friday's event is 5 - 9 PM and Saturday is from 1 -6 PM. More that 300 hand-crafted beers from more that 50 breweries statewide, plus music and food. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch recipe a favorite at the Parish House Inn, an Ann Arbor/Ypsilanit area bed and breakfast

Strawberry Rhubarb Crunch

The dark brown sugar and nuts in the topping gives this a flavor boost!

3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 cup water

2 cups sliced strawberries
2 cups coarsely chopped rhubarb

1 cup rolled oars
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Coat a 9X9X2 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
In a 1 quart saucepan mix together sugar and flour, Add the water and stir. Cook over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat and stir in fruit. Pour into prepared baking dish.
Mix together oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over the top of the fruit mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the filling is bubbly in the middle.
Serve warm with cream.
