Strawberry Butter is Tasty on Toast at the Parish House Inn
June brings the promise of fresh strawberries available at many u-pick farms as well as farmers markets. This recipe uses fresh strawberries with butter and cream cheese to make a delicious spread for toast, muffins and scones...and it couldn't be easier. I am looking forward to creating delicious food from all the fresh fruits and vegetables I can find at my Farmers Market this summer. Happy eating!
STRAWBERRY
BUTTER
½
cup butter, softened
1
- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1
cup powdered sugar
1
teaspoon vanilla
1
cup strawberries, sliced
Place
all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until blended. To
serve, place in a small dish and serve with bread, muffins and
scones.
Store
any leftover butter in a covered container in the refrigerator.
